HomeSchool Graduation 2011

I could wane poetic about how old I feel and how sad I am that my oldest will soon fly the coop. I will not because I am THRILLED to bits. This child has experienced a lot in his short life and is now ready to to fly (I may have to push just a little though, he does like to be home with us sometimes!)
We were blessed to homeschool and family train this young man half of his school years. The other half was experimental because of the age gap between him and our next child. Him and  pile of babies at home was tough. He did, however, listen when God spoke about coming home for high school. I did not push the idea. I suggested and prayed. He was willing. It was not always easy to go against the grain but as a family, we learned, balanced, failed and otherwise grew stronger as a family. I am pleased and oh so proud of this young man! I am thankful to God for His constant guidance and support.

Congratulations my dear, sweet, thoughtful son! You did it! Now fly off to college and finish like you promised ;). Yes, I made him promise he would work hard and finish. It won't be a hard promise for him to keep but I made him to it anyway ;).

Congratulations Tracey, to your son and your whole family. A big moment for all of you.
I was so sorry to hear about your friend. The Big C causes so much pain in so many families. I wish I
could understand it, but I do know that God has a plan and we must have faith. Blessings to all of you.

What a wonderful bittersweet time this is - our older son is in his 2nd year at University and is now in his own apartment. he still calls or texts everyday - today to ask how long to cook brown rice for. :)
Many blessings to your boy. xx
