Father's Day

A brief pictorial of our wonderful day together celebrating the father in our home!
This is the day the Lord has made! Arise and be glad in it! Amen!

Leaving for a hike in the mountains.

Flat tire just miles outside of town... Spare not fully blown up and never been used in the 10+ years we have owned this vehicle!

I'll help you dad ;)

And I will just stand here looking good. I have no idea how 3 of my 5 boys ended up with white tees on. too cute!

After a trip to the big box store for a new tire, we went home and the boys did this.

TJ grilled these. Portabello Mushrooms, zucchini, onion and pineapple! Oh so good on a sandwich.. everything but the pineapple, that is.  Benjamin had so much fun skewering the tomatillas!

Tomatillas, garlic, jalepenos, onion and cilantro to make this green salsa. The only ingredient I did not grow is the onion... I could have gotten one out of the garden but didn't think of it. It is YUM!

After lunch and a rest, we decide to set out again.... About a 50 minute drive up the hill.

Finally made it to the trail head. This is the obligatory (although without the park sign) heading out photo. TJ made me be in it this time!

Down the steep trail.

To THIS! Foster Falls is beautiful. Sheer rock faces off the the left and deep, fern-filled woods to the right. Just amazing and cold water to boot. about 60 degrees.

The brave boys.

After the hike, watermelon was in order. Everyone but Andrew had our faces covered in juice! too much fun. The rinds came home to the happy chicken and goats!

What a great day with my family!

Thank you my darling for being the Godly, loving man you are. You are amazing and such a blessing to this family! I love you!
