I absolutely adore these busy times. Adore them. Each new day arrives with the hope of many things to do and memories to make. The sad part of that is that most days go by in such a blur and in the end such an amazing exhaustion, that I feel a sadness of how they slip by so quickly. Did I do anything on my list? Did I fit any time in for my children (other than the obvious care and feeding) and my husband and family and friends?
TJ is on a 2-week shutdown from work so we have lots of plans and projects. We are, however, spending some time chatting and dreaming of more projects :). I love that time. He knows I adore the dreaming part and he indulges me when he has a moment.
Cheyenne had her babies 3 days ago. Two bucklings... Darth Vader and Luke.. Yes, there is a theme here to our animal names. Poor Katie just rolls her eyes :).
Cheyenne is a great first-time mama to these pretty boys. Darth Vader.
Sweet Luke. He looks a lot more feminine in the face and we all thought he was a girl til we checked the parts. Most assuredly a boy but a very sweet and friendly boy.
Today we are locking the cows in a seperate pasture so that the mamas can bring their babies out for a walk in safety. I think Sweet Pea needs some time outside the barn. She may be going crazy with 3 bouncing kids all over the place. They are truly running, jumping, skidding and everywhere. She is doing great with 3 babies though. She amazes me!

What a blessing to have so much new life at your place. I find time
flying by here too. I thought it was just my age so I'm glad to here I'm not the only one. Enjoy your summer.
PS- I wanted to ask if you use lye in your soap making? I use to see it at the hardware store, but not anymore. I have a recipe, but really need to find one lye free.
Oh, they are so sweet! I'm trying not to be envious. I'm just sure it would be illegal to try to get away with raising them in my neighborhood. ;)
Blessings, Debbie
I just love goats. They are so cute and friendly. Our goats are two years old now and very large. My son still plays with them though. He needs to start working with them more to get them ready for the fair this fall!!
Aw, those babies are so cute! Wish I could meet them in person.
